LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) The Onalaska girls basketball team lost a 16-point halftime lead only to rally in the final minute to pull out a 36-32 win over Central Thursday night.
The Hilltoppers led 27-11 at the half before Central went on a 21-4 run to take the lead with over a minute to go.
Then Onalaska's Courtney Meyer converted on a three-point play to give the Hilltoppers the lead back for good with under a minute to go.
Tayla Stuttley led Onalaska with 12 points.
Brittany Baldwin had 17 for Central.
With the win Onalaska goes to 21-0 on the season and they clinch the MVC title outright.
"It feels really good. It wasn't our first goal of the season but it was one of our goals. It feels really good to accomplish it and Central is a good team so it was a good win," said Meyer, who had 7 points.
