TOMAH, Wis. (WXOW)- The candidates for Tomah mayor present their side of the issues in a March 11 forum at the Ground Round Grill and Bar in Tomah.
The forum begins at 12:00 pm in the banquet room.
Reservations are required for the public to attend. A deli-sandwich lunch will be served by the Ground Round for $10.00.
Chamber Executive Director Chris Hanson says, “Our intent is to poll the candidates on issues important to the Chamber and our community. Economic growth and development will be a featured topic, as well as local education and business issues. We want to give voters a clearer picture of the candidates.”
The primary election in February narrowed Tomah’s mayor race down to Shannon Hough and Leroy Kelsey. Hough works at the National Guard Challenge Academy in Fort McCoy and Kelsey owns Kelsey’s Class Act Tavern and is a Tomah City Councilman.
The format of the forum will be simple. La Crosse Tribune/Tomah Journal Editor Chris Hardie will moderate and ask preset questions from the Chamber’s Government Action committee as well as questions from the floor. Each candidate will have a timed opportunity to answer the question. All questions from the audience will be collected by Mr. Hardie prior to the beginning of the event.
For more information, or to make a reservation, contact Chris Hanson at the Chamber Office at 372-2166.
