LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The trial for the La Crosse man charged with the fatal stabbing at the Cass Street Kwik Trip last year may last longer than originally expected.
25-year-old Mitrel Anderson is charged with intentional homicide in the death of Demario Lee.
Police say Anderson stabbed Lee outside the convenience store's bathroom last summer.
Anderson's attorney asked Thursday to extend the length of trial, saying there is a potential for numerous witnesses.
Jury selection begins June 9, with the trial starting the following week. It is scheduled for three days, but now may go longer.
