West Salem's Miller helping out Brewers

PHOENIX, Arizona (WXOW)  Former Brewers catcher Damian Miller has found a unique way to escape the brutal Wisconsin winter.

He's in Arizona, not for vacation, but for work.

Miller is helping out at the Brewers spring training for a few days.

The La Crosse area resident has plenty of experience to draw from.

He spent 11 years in the big leagues, including 3 with the Brewers.

Miller's last season was 2007.

"The Brewers asked me to come down this spring and work with their catchers on the big league side and the minor league side for a couple of days. Looking forward to it. It's a chance to get out of Wisconsin where it's horrible and come down here and experience this nice weather. I'm looking forward to sharing some of the knowledge from the 20 years that I played," Miller said from the Brewers spring training complex in Arizona.
