State Wrestling: Thornton, Bahr, Hauser, Reisinger, Nottestad Win Titles


La Crosse, WIS. (WXOW) ---------------At the Wisconsin State Wrestling Meet, Five Coulee Region Wrestlers brought home State Titles.

At 120 pounds, La Crosse Central's Ben Thornton completes an undefeated season going 50-0 as he wins his 2nd ever state title.

Thornton won a major decision 10-0 over Zach Hasselberger of Stoughton.

At 132 pounds in Division 2, West Salem / Bangor Freshman Devin Bahr defeated Jordan Meyer of Evansville. Bahr wins the title and caps a perfect in his freshman year.

The 195 pound match was the one everyone wanted to see. Jordan Reisinger of Tomah vs. Noah Risch from Holmen. Reisinger somersaulted his way to an escape in sudden death overtime to win his first state title over his MVC rival Risch.

At 220 pounds, Chase Nottestad from Westby got a 3rd period take down to win the state title.

Hunter Hauser of Holmen scored a pin in the finals to claim the title at 285 pounds.
