LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Thousands of people who didn't want to battle the frigid temperatures Sunday stayed indoors at Family Fest at the La Crosse Center.
Food, games, entertainment, and prizes kept kids busy. The La Crosse and Onalaska fire departments were there.
Local businesses set up 70 booths and area restaurants were there to provide the food.
Deb Brague, Director of Family Fest, says "with this cold snap people want something to do, I think everybody's got cabin fever, so they can come and let the kids go crazy."
The event was free but guests were encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for The Hunger Task Force.
This is the fest's 10th year.
