Badgers look ahead with Big Ten title out of reach

Posted:

MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW)  Thanks to Michigan's win over Illinois Tuesday night, the Badgers have been eliminated from Big Ten title contention.

The Wolverines clinched it.

But the Badgers still hoping to lock down the second seed in the Big Ten Tournament.

That was out of their control but the Badgers do control their chance to finish their season off strong.

That would mean sending their three seniors out with a win in their final game at the Kohl Center Wednesday night.

Ben Brust is one of those seniors.  He's a guy who has certainly made the Kohl Center rock at times in his career and that's the way he wants to go out against Purdue.

"I just want to do what we came here to do and that's win the basketball game that's the most important thing and the rest will take care of itself. The celebration, the honor, whatever.  That is a great part of it but we want to win the game," Brust said.

"We want to send them out with a win and that's the best thing we can do for sure. A last chance on this home court to win and we're looking forward to it," said junior guard Traevon Jackson.
Wednesday's tip is set for 8pm.
