BLAIR, Wis. (WXOW) - Western Wisconsin will be well presenting at the WIAA boys state basketball tournament with one team who has made multiple trips to Madison while another is taking its first trip to the Kohl Center.
In Division 4, Unity is making the program's first trip to state in 77-years thanks to a 39-35 win over Mondovi. Meanwhile, Blair-Taylor will be heading to Madison for the 11th time. The two teams will meet at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. The winner gets either Brillion or defending champion Dominican.
It's a Western Wisconsin semifinal in Division 5. Thorp hit 10 three pointers in their sectional final, including six from senior guard Eric Lewandowski, to punch their ticket to state. The Cardinals will face Cochrane-Fountain City, who is making the program's first trip to Madison. The two teams face off at around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
