HOUSTON, Minn. (WXOW) - The total is in! We told you in February that the Houston Basketball Teams were taking to the court to raise money for a young girl battling cancer.
Alysta King, 10, has lymphoma. She has made repeated trips in and out of the hospital since she was diagnosed last October.
Both the girls and boys teams, through their games, helped to raise money for the King family. Together with the help of the Houston community, they raised more than $9,000. All the money will go to the King family to off-set medical expenses.
Alysta hopes to have her final round of cancer treatment in late May or June.
