LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The 8th annual K-12 STEAM Teacher Resource Day was held at UW-L's Murphy Library Monday.
Local educators had an opportunity to discover award-winning resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math for use in their classrooms. It's a chance for teachers and students in education to browse through a variety of different books and other resources before they purchase them.
"If you want to see the best of the best books and build those books into your curriculum especially your English language arts, and non fiction books, here's a great opportunity to come and see what they are before you purchase the books," said Tim Gerber, a biology professor at UW-L and program organizer.
Murphy library purchases the books from Science Books & Films' "Best Lists" and are available year round for teachers and students in the school of education to review.
