ROLLINGSTONE, Minn. (KTTC) -- An investigation is underway after a Winona man was found dead while house sitting for a friend.
According to the Winona County Sheriff's Office, the 57-year-old man was taking care of a home at 164 Broadway in Rollingstone on Saturday night. When the homeowners returned about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, they found him dead in a pool of blood.
Sheriff Dave Brand said blood trailed as far as a block away.
An autopsy is underway to determine how the man died, but Brand said there is no reason for neighbors to be worried about their safety.
The man's name has not been released.
