UPDATE: Man involved in West Salem ATV crash died

WEST SALEM, Wisconsin (WXOW) - News 19 has learned Kenny Beck, the 44-year-old man involved in a four-wheeler crash in West Salem Saturday evening, has died, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

DNR officials conducting the investigation into the crash said the victim was riding his ATV on a snowy, icy hillside behind his home. That vehicle slipped and fell backward.

The preliminary investigation shows the man likely hit his head, and was probably hit by the ATV after that, said William Yearman, Recreational Safety Warden for the DNR.

The man died from his injuries on site, Yearman added.

First responders arrived at the home on Buol Road around 5:20 Saturday.
