MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) The NCAA Selection Committee was very kind to the Badgers.
Not only does Wisconsin get a two-seed, they get to spend the first weekend in Milwaukee.
They'll play the 15th seed, American University, Thursday.
The Eagles just won the Patriot League tournament.
They're 20-12 on the season.
American is a defense-first team.
Athletically, they can't come close to matching up with Wisconsin.
The Badgers are thirteen point favorites.
They shouldn't have much trouble with American but there is always a chance for madness in March.
"I mean it's March. Teams didn't get here by the luck of the draw. They got here with hard work over the whole year. So, whoever you play is going to bring it. It's not going to just be given to you. You have to go out there and take it. You've got to be the aggressor and the one making the statements. You can't be on your heels," said senior guard Ben Brust.
The Badgers and American will tip off Thursday at 11:40am at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
