ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) -  Searchers spend several hours searching but fail to find anything after a report of a pickup truck possibly falling through the ice on Lake Onalaska late Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., a resident whose house overlooks the lake said he saw the truck on the ice but after walking across his living room the truck was gone.

Onalaska's Fire Department, Police and DNR along with La Crosse's Dive Unit conducted a search using an air boat and helicopter.

As of now nothing has been found.

The search will not continue tomorrow unless a missing car is reported according to authorities. With warmer weather fast approaching this is a good reminder to be very careful around ice as it is very unstable, they advised..
