Sex offender moving to Sparta

SPARTA, Wis. (WXOW) - Sparta Police are notifying the public that a registered sex offender is moving into their community.

On April 1, the Department of Corrections plans to release Clay G. Slater.  According to the Sparta Police Department, Slater will stay on Water Street in downtown Sparta.

He was convicted in Monroe County in 2001 of Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
