Wisconsin getting ready for the Bears

MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) The Badgers are gearing up for their Sweet 16 showdown with the Baylor Bears Thursday in Anaheim, California.

The Bears, like the Badgers, suffered through a tough stretch midway through the season.

Baylor began Big 12 conference play with a 2-8 record before kicking it into gear.

They played their best game of the season Sunday when they whipped Creighton by 30 to reach the West Region semifinals.

"They've got long athletes. They sub a bunch of different people. They've got all different kinds of players. They pressure you and make you play yourself into bad decision," said center Frank Kaminsky.

"That's a pretty formidable foe. But every team that's in it now has done some things during the year. They played well towards the end of the year. We think we have too. So, it's two theams that get a chance," said Badgers Head Coach Bo Ryan.

Wisconsin will try to reach their first Elite 8 since 2005.

Tip-off Thursday evening set for 6:37pm.
