Winona teacher named as finalist for Teacher of the Year

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WXOW) – A Winona teacher is named one of the top ten finalists for the 2014 Minnesota Teacher of the Year.

Lora Hill, a Special Education teacher at Winona Senior High School, is a finalist out of the 128 teachers nominated for the award.

Finalists were selected by a panel of leaders in the areas of education, business, government and non-profits from a group of thirty-three semifinalists.

The panel will interview the finalists on May 3rd to make their final selection.

The 2014 Minnesota Teacher of the Year will be announced May 4th at a banquet in Bloomington.
