Badgers size-up Bears zone defense

ANAHEIM, California (WXOW)  It's almost go time for the Badgers.

They are in Anaheim, California putting in final preparations for Thursday's Sweet 16 showdown with Baylor.

Wisconsin has some experience against zone defenses this season. But, by and large didn't see too many in Big Ten play.

Baylor hangs their hat on their 1-3-1 zone and it was key in holding Creighton to 55 points on Sunday. Baylor's zone will test the Badgers passing and patience.

"We've seen zones throughout the year in the Big Ten and with team in non-conference.  What makes Baylor's different is, obviously, their length.  They have Isaiah Austin in the middle.  He's one of the longest players we'll see all year.  Just the athletes and the length combined in there is going to be tough to go against but hopefully we'll be successful against it," said center Frank Kaminsky.

"Attacking it and getting people to move a certain way and using your angles and mis-direction and different things that good offensive zone teams use, we're going to have to put all those together.  They have the quickness and they have the length inside to protect the rim," said Badgers Head Coach Bo Ryan.

Tip-off is set for 6:47pm Thursday.
