LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Dozens gathered Saturday at All Star Lanes to help raise awareness of colon cancer. The event is known as the Gordy Kochsiek Memorial Colon Bowlin' Cancer Bowl or Colon Bowlin' for short. This was the 11th annual event.
During the games people were allowed to buy raffle tickets to help raise money and win various prizes. The money goes to the Oasis Cancer Fund and to also help in aiding in the colon cancer field. This includes the addition of new equipment and doctors to help in the battle against colon cancer.
This event on average raises $10,000 dollars each year according to organizers.
