Band practices in La Crosse for hall of fame induction

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - News 19 reported earlier this month that Jan-Arden Petersen, from La Crescent, and his band The 4th Demension, will be inducted into the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this April.

Saturday, the band got together for their first time in decades for their first--and last rehearsal.--before performing in front of thousands at the induction ceremony.

The band is being recognized for work they did in the 1960's for pop singer Bobby Vee's world premiere movie "C'mon Let's Live a Little."

"We've got local musicians around here that stand up to anybody anywhere, and luckily we have access to those guys and the rest of us have been working on our own and putting it together," Petersen said. "Today was really, really fun and it all went pretty smoothly."

One of the original five members band recently passed away. Petersen and the group said they couldn't be more proud to perform in his honor.
