Basketball tournament raises money for scholarship fund

Holmen, Wisconsin (WXOW) – People knew Brandon Jennings for heating up the basketball court at Holmen High School; Today 76 teams played in his memory.

The high school hosted the third annual “Ballin’ for Brandon” 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament.

Jennings was a varsity athlete who died at age 16 after a police car crashed into his vehicle in July, 2010.

Holmen alumni and friend of Jennings, Bennett Johnson says, "It's a great opportunity to really cherish Brandon's life."

The money raised from the event will go into the Brandon Jennings Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship is awarded to a senior at Holmen who plans to attend a four year college.
