Grade assumes controls of Logan GBB

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) The winds of change are blowing through the Logan girls basketball program.

Scott Grade is taking over for Jason Bahr, who decided to step down to spend more time with his family.

Grade is very familiar to the program having spent the last three seasons as an assistant under Bahr. He has high school head coaching experience too. Grade led the girls program at New Richland, Minnesota from 1983 to '89.

Now he hopes to continue the tradition of success that's been built at Logan. "They've got a really nice tradition here so I'm just happy to take over. Mr. Bahr did a great job the last three years and I'm just going to keep on what he did and keep moving forward," Grade said during a news conference at Logan High School Tuesday afternoon.

"With a great group of kids coming back and the younger levels having great success, I thought it would be a great transition to get Coach Grade in there. He does a lot of things that people didn't realize during games and in practices and things like that," Bahr said.

Grade told Logan that he will coach for only three years before he retires.
