Lightning strike causes fire at Portage Museum

PORTAGE (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office confirms a fire started at the Portage Museum.

Reports say the fire started because of a lightning strike due to Sunday's early morning storms. The incident happened on the 800 block of MacFarlane Road in Portage. The flames were showing from the 2nd floor.

No further information has been released. There are no reports of injuries.
