TOMAH, Wis. (WXOW)- The Ho-Chunk Nation makes a donation to help with a new vehicle for the Tomah Fire Department.
Andrea Estebo, Henning Garvin and David Greendeer, Ho-Chunk Nation's District Representatives, presented a check for $80,000 to the department for a new command vehicle.
Representative Andrea Estebo stated, "As many of our tribal members live in the City of Tomah, the Ho-Chunk Nation is a proud member of the Tomah area community. We are happy to be able to contribute to our neighbors in the Tomah Fire Department."
Tomah Fire Chief, Kevin Decorah, approached the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature for a donation to replace its aging command vehicle.
"We had the opportunity to help not just the city of Tomah, but Monroe County as well," said Representative Henning Garvin. "The relationship between the governments of the Ho-Chunk Nation, City of Tomah and County of Monroe is strong and we are pleased to further this mutually beneficial relationship."
