LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - People wanting to dispose of old medications can do so at several locations around La Crosse County next weekend.
The La Crosse County Prevention Network is sponsoring a Medication Drop-Off event on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The five locations are: -La Crosse-Viterbo Fine Arts Parking Lot, 929 Jackson St. -West Salem-CESA #4, 923 E. Garland St. -Onalaska-Police Department, 415 Main St. -Holmen-Village Hall, 421 S. Main St.
At these sites, people can get rid of:
-Any prescription medications -Over-the-counter medications -Tablets, capsules, and liquids -Creams and Ointments -Aerosols -Patches
The above list of items can be dropped off at the La Crosse County HHM, 6500 State Road 16 during the same time. The HHM is the only place that will accept needles, sharps, mercury thermometers, or hazardous materials. The other four locations will not accept those items.
