Culver's donates $1,615 to Hunger Task Force

ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) - Those who ate at Culver's in Onalaska Sunday helped others in the community from going hungry.

The Onalaska Culver's restaurant donated the money they raised from Sunday's Easter lunch to The Hunger Task Force.

A five dollar donation got you chicken, cole slaw, fries and a frozen custard. Last year, Culver's served more than 200 people. This year they served almost 400.

Emily Bowe, owner of Culver's in Onalaska, said, "It's really important that we feed the community because that's what we do here at Culver's. This is a day that we're normally closed so it's a day that works out well to serve the community."

Sunday's Easter lunch raised $1,615 for The Hunger Task Force. This is the third year Culver's has hosted an Easter lunch.
