Pay stations will activate Monday in downtown parking ramps

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) The pay stations in three downtown La Crosse parking ramps have been up for months. Monday, two of the ramps will have those pay stations activated.

The Main Street Ramp and Market Square Ramp pay stations will activate Monday at midnight. Drivers will be required to take a ticket to enter the ramp, but they won't be required to pay until Tuesday morning.

The La Crosse Center Ramp will not activate. The Holiday Inn reserved spaces in that ramp and the city still needs to come up with a plan for how the pay stations will work.

Pay Station Fees:
  • The first three hours of parking are free M-F from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • After that, it's $0.75/hour
  • Parking is free evenings and weekend days
  • Everyday from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. parking costs $0.50/hour
  • The daily maximum charge is $6
