MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Walker's democratic opponents in the race for Governor commented on his title of one of Time Magazine's Top 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Mary Burke released a statement that said "Wisconsin is 9th out of 10 Midwestern states in job creation because Walker has focused whatever influence he has on pursuing policies that favor those at the top and corporations, rather than on strengthening the middle class in Wisconsin."
Madison Assemblyman Brett Hulsey also released a statement. He said, "He has definitely negatively influenced the lives of thousands of Wisconsin citizens, like the 17,300 parents with children he took health care away from, telling the federal government the state was broke when it was not."
Governor Scott Walker said he was honored to be on the list. He said, "Whether people agree or disagree with everything we've done, I hope the one thing people see is that we tell people something -- we tell them we're going to do something, we're going to act on it."
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie wrote the article for Governor Walker in Time Magazine.
