It’s been an emotional roller coaster of a day.
Mark and I went to immigration to pick up our passports at 2 o’clock, like we were told. When we got there they couldn’t find them!! After being sent to 3-4 different offices we were told they had made a mistake. They didn’t charge us enough. We both needed to pay a fine and then we could pick up our visas Thursday afternoon. I was livid! I wanted to go home. Our flight left Thursday morning. I tried telling this to the immigration worker. She didn’t care and kicked us out of her office. Mark and I left immigration feeling helpless.
On a whim, we went back to immigration and some how ended up in a supervisors office. We waited almost an hour to see her. It felt like an eternity. She listened to our story, took our paper work and on the top page wrote in pen 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we were out the door with our new visas.
We’re going home tomorrow!
