LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - After working during the entire school year, students at Viterbo University got the opportunity to show their results on Friday.
The annual Scholars Day event featured art exhibits, oral presentations, and performances.
One presentation involved students enrolled in Theology of Justice and Peace and their project associated with social justice.
Besides showing their work, their project was meant to educate the community about the issues surrounding social justice.
Kathleen Knueppel, a sophomore at Viterbo, said about the presentation, "I think it's a great way for students to show their creative side and really dive into a topic that they care about. There are a bunch of different topics people are talking about."
Knueppel said the day was important because she's worked for two years on the research for her project.
