Winona public school teachers may soon get a pay raise

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Winona public school teachers may soon get a pay raise.

The Winona Education Association has reached a tentative agreement with the school board with the help of a mediator.

Winona school superintendent Dr. Scott Hannon said if ratified by both sides, it will give teachers a fair raise and leave the school district in good financial shape.

The Winona teachers have been working under the terms of the last contract, which expired last June.

Both sides will review the deal and vote on going ahead with it in the next three weeks.
