Earth Fair teaches kids about being green

Posted:
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Earth Week may have just wrapped up, but area kids learned about being green at Sunday's Earth Fair.

Kids could help set stones in front of Myrick Eco Park, learn about gardening, and watch the live raptor demonstration.

Organizers say the Earth Fair is meant to get kids excited about the outdoors and teach them how to keep our planet green.

Erica Black, Earth Fair Co-Chair, said "We have one planet, they [kids] live on it, their future children will live on it, they need to know how to take care of it."

Coulee Partners for Sustainability, the YMCA, and the La Crosse Public Library, among others, hosted the sixth annual Earth Fair.
