Habitat for Humanity Restore launches capital campaign
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Habitat for Humanity has begun a 5-year capital campaign to fund a new building for the Habitat Restore. They need more space and their current lease expires in December.
The Re-store accepts new and used building materials. They sell them at a discount and the profits go to build habitat homes. Their goal is to raise one million dollars over five years to purchase the new building. But they need to raise $200,000 by the end of May.
"We're running out of room so we've been growing since we opened in 2006, it's one of our biggest fundraisers so the better it does, the more we can do out in the community," says Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Amanda Acklin.
There are many ways to donate to the campaign.
You can visit their website at www.habitatlacrosse.org and click to donate to the restore relocation campaign. Also on the website, you can fill out a pledge form and choose your payment method located on the website.
