Eagles ride winning streak as they head down the home stretch

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  With 6 conference games remaining, the UW-La Crosse baseball team finds itself just 2 games back of UW-Whitewater for 1st place.

That's thanks to the teams current 8 game win streak.

No team in the WIAC has been hotter than the Eagles who just completed a 4 game sweep of UW-Superior.

In that series, the Eagles outscored the Yellowjackets 53 to 17. Eagles Coach Chris Schwarz feels his team is starting to click at the right time.

"It's mostly the players coming together and playing as a team, we talked a lot this year about you know geling and coming together at the right time there seems to be a point in every season that things start clicking and we have kind of hit that stride and hopefully were getting hot as we roll into tournament time," said Schwarz.

The Eagles will host UW-Platteville in a doubleheader Wednesday.
