LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) The UW-La Crosse baseball team swept a doubleheader from UW-Platteville Wednesday at a misty Copeland Park.
The Eagles won game one 11-4. Taylor Kohlwey went 3 for 6 with 3 runs batted in and teammate Bryce Barsness had a home run and 3 runs batted in as well. Jameson Lavery tossed 6 shutout innings for the win.
In game two, the Eagles scored 9 runs in the first inning en route to a 13-0 win. Kohlwey and Barsness had home runs. Joel Zyhowski and Seth Feldman led a 15-hit attack with three hits each.
UW-L has now won 10 in a row and improves it's record to 21-13 overall and 13-6 in the WIAC.
