Downtown Walk-Around kicks off Friday

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The fourth annual La Crosse Downtown Walk-Around starts Friday.

The Downtown Walk-Around is an event to increase awareness of downtown businesses and to promote a healthy lifestyle. It's a walking challenge for everyone who lives in La Crosse.

To participate you need to obtain a Downtown Walk-Around card and walk into participating businesses to receive a stamp. Once your card is filled out, you will be eligible to win several prizes.

The event kicks off Friday, May 2 at 5:00 p.m. with a press conference at Cameron Park. Friday is also the opening day of the park's Farmer's Market.

Prizes will be handed out on June 6 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Cameron Park.
