LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) A firm from Minneapolis is the choice to provide some ideas about moving the La Crosse Center into the future.
The firm is Convention, Sports and Leisure. The Center is looking for some ideas about possible expansion or remodeling to remain a good location for conventions and other events. The La Crosse Center is 34 years old. It was last remodeled in 2000, when the Center added South Hall.
Center director Art Fahey says the building is showing its age. The $50,000 contract must have city council approval before the deal moves ahead. If it does, Fahey says Convention Sports and Leisure will take a little more than three months to come up with a plan.
