Two hurt in Trempealeau Co. accident

TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WXOW) – Two people are seriously injured in an accident involving a tractor in the Township of Trempealeau.

The crash happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a Ford Explorer driven by Arthur Czaplewski, 83, from Fountain City, was traveling on State Road 54/35 near County Road F when he struck a tractor pulling a cattle feeder.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined the farm machinery had improper lighting.

The driver of the tractor Dale Fink, 51, from Trempealeau was not injured.

Czaplewski and his passenger, Marilyn Hansen, 84, from Winona were both transported to a hospital with severe injures.
