Sex offender to be released in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – A sex offender will be released into the La Crosse community on May 6.
Matthew Thompson, 41, was convicted of Possession of Child Pornography, 3rd Degree Sexual Assault and Bail Jumping.

Thompson's computer contained sexual explicit images of minors and he sexually assaulted an adult female acquaintance.

Thompson will be living at 809 Rose Street in La Crosse.

Thompson has served his time and is not wanted by police. Police are notifying the public that he will be released because it is required by state law.
