Madison (WQOW) -The Wisconsin men's basketball team will enter next season with a top-10 ranking. They return nearly their entire Final Four nucleus and will add an intriguing recruit.
Ethan Happ is Wisconsin's lone scholarship player in the incoming freshman class. He's flown under the national radar all year, but Happ changed that by going international this month. The 6'8" forward was just named the MVP of the Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany.
"It feels great. To put in the hard work and time I have in the past to lead up to moments like these. Just the saying, 'hard work pays off.' Then, to do it, like you said, for my school, my town, my family and to represent the United States across my chest. It's a great feeling."
Happ averaged 19.1 points and 10.7 rebounds to lead the United States to the championship game of the under-18 tournament.
