COPY-Two dead, two wounded in neighbor dispute in Madison

UPDATE (WKOW) --- What Madison Police say started as a neighbor dispute turned into a double homicide.

Officers were called to the East Washington Avenue residence around 3:00 p.m.  

Police say that they discovered two homicide victims, and one victim with stab wounds. That person is at a Madison hospital for treatment.

A fourth person, the suspect, is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after police shot and injured him.

Police say that young boy was also found at the apartment hiding and is not harmed.

The state's Department of Criminal Investigation is handling the case due to the fact that there was an officer-involved shooting.


MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- Madison police say several people were taken to the hospital with what appear to be stab wounds.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community and they are not looking for a suspect at this time. 

Dane County Communications tells 27 News people should avoid the area, both inbound and outbound, of East Washington Avenue between Johnson Street and 1st.
