Driver of rollover crash found at a home after three hour search

TOWN OF NAPLES, BUFFALO CO., Wis. (WXOW) - It took authorities three hours to find the man whose vehicle crashed early Sunday morning in Buffalo County.

It turns out the man went to a nearby home.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m., the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department was sent to check out a one car rollover accident on County Road Y near the Trempealeau County line.

When deputies arrived, they found a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette on its top in a ditch.  The car had gone off the road, hit a power pole, and rolled over.   The driver was not with the vehicle.

After searching the are a for approximately three hours, Jarrett Van Vleet, 45, of Mondovi, was found at a residence. 

He was then taken by ambulance to an Eau Claire hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Several agencies, one of which was the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department's K-9 unit, helped in the search for Van Vleet.
