LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – A La Crosse Police Sergeant charged with threatening to kill his wife and family will avoid charges if he follows the rules laid out in a diversion agreement.
Alan Iverson, 45, was arrested in February after prosecutors said he made threats to his wife after she talked about divorce.
Tuesday in La Crosse County Circuit Court, all sides accepted a diversion agreement. As part of that agreement, Iverson pleaded no contest to Disorderly Conduct. A charge of Threats to Injure/Accuse of Crime was dismissed.
The two year agreement requires Iverson resign from the La Crosse Police Department and continue counseling
