EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WXOW) The Vikings won't have to wait long before they make their first selection in Thursday's first round of the NFL Draft.
They have the number 8 pick. And that pick could be for sale.
Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman said he will take trade offers.
The Vikings in search of defense and a quarterback. They were burned three years ago when many felt like they reached by taking Christian Ponder in the first round. So they may wait until later for a quarterback.
"If we covet a quarterback at 8 and let's say the next quarterback we like we would not touch until the second round. We're going to sit there, be patient and wait. If that's where we have them and he comes to us, that's great. If not, we're going to get another very good football player and move on," Spielman said.
First round of the NFL Draft is set for 7 p.m. Thursday.
