Ridgeway Community School hosts Weather Academy

RIDGEWAY, Minn. (WXOW) - Dozens of students at Ridgeway Community School learned a great deal about the weather on Thursday.

The school hosted WXOW's Weather Academy.

Meteorologists Alex Kirchner and Madeline Sky came to the school to teach students about how weather affects them. Among the information the students found out was how clouds form, what causes flooding, and the different types of severe weather.

Of course, the kids got to see the traditional weather experiments such as the egg in the bottle.

Many of the kids and their parents came back for an open house after school.

Enjoy some pictures above from the open house.
