Mitrel Anderson has motion hearing in La Crosse court
Homicide suspect Anderson has court hearing
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The man accused of fatally stabbing another man last year appeared in court as his June trial date moves closer.
Mitrel Anderson made a court appearance Friday at the La Crosse County Courthouse.
He is charged with the stabbing death of Demario Lee at the Cass street Kwik Trip last June.
Police say surveillance video from store shows Anderson striking Lee in the head with a weapon.
At the hearing, prosecutors and defense attorneys discussed what evidence to allow to be used in trial next month. They also discussed taking the jury to the store to show them the scene of the attack.
Judge Elliot Levine did not make any rulings on any of the items from Friday's hearing. He said he wanted time to review each request before ruling on any of them.
Anderson is expected back in court May 19 for another hearing. His jury trial is set to start on June 9.
