WINONA, Minn. (WXOW) La Crescent senior Katie Waller will continue her basketball career at Division II Winona State.
Waller was one of five new recruits announced by the school Tuesday.
Here's a portion of the announcement from WSU and head coach Scott Ballard:
Waller earned Minnesota All-State honors as a senior after averaging 19 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals per game. Waller finished her prep career with 1,493 points, the third-most in school history, while also ending second on the program’s career rebounding charts.
“Katie is a great addition to our team during this spring signing period,” Ballard said. “She is a great shooter with a scorer’s mentality that will add size, length and depth to our perimeter game. Katie is a good competitor and a great fit with our personalities and style of play.”
