LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - UPDATE: No one was injured in a crash on Interstate 90 Wednesday morning.

It happened around 6 a.m. near the half mile mark between the state line and the French Island exit.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said a car was traveling eastbound in the construction zone when it was hit by a semi truck traveling in the same direction.  The State Patrol said the driver of the car told troopers they had slowed down which troopers said contributed to the accident.  But why the car slowed down is under investigation.

The crash backed up traffic for more than an hour.
