CHICAGO, Illinois (WXOW) Alec Brown is putting his skills on display over the next two day at the NBA Combine in Chicago.
The Winona native turned in an impressive performance Thursday. Brown hit 18 of 25 NBA range three-pointers during one drill.
The 7-foot 1-inch center averaged 15 points a game for UW-Green Bay this past season and was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year. So he can get it done on both ends.
"I was very happy. It was a big honor to be invited to this. Not a lot of guys do, obviously. For a chance to show teams what I can do, it's a huge opportunity for me. I've been working on my shot a lot the past couple of months. I'm really comfortable with that right now. But I feel I can be just as big of a factor on defense. It's not bad to have both I guess," Brown said.
He's projected to be a 2nd round pick in June's draft.
