LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WXOW) - Nearly 100 bicyclists rode around La Crescent Sunday to help raise money to fight polio.
It was part of La Crescent's 2nd Annual Apple Blossom Tour. Part of the money raised from the ride will go to the Rotary International Club, who helps raise money and awareness about the disease.
A disease that one La Crosse man was diagnosed with at 10 months old. Dan Eumurian took part in the ride, on a tandem bike.
Through medicine and chiropractic help he can drive, swim, and bike. Eumurian said he is grateful for the community support. "To have the community get together and help fight my battle makes me want to help fight the battle against the war that still needs to be won," said Eumurian.
The Apple Blossom Tour hopes to raise $1,000 to $2,000. They already have next year's ride scheduled for May 17.
